On February 17th, 2020, I attended the FOP Candidate Forum at Purdue University Northwest.  I joined 11 other Democrats and Republicans who are running to take U.S. Rep. Pete Vislosky’s seat.

The FOP debate was well organized regarding specific laws important to police and fire personnel. There is still much work to be done with regards to policies to support first responders and their family. I would work to build a consensus around improving mental health treatment, fixing the WEP and GPO, Collective Bargaining – for which all unions need protection, and the Equity Act.
